Do you know what they call an extension cord in Sumter County? A power line – all it takes is one person having electricity in the trailer park to light up the neighborhood.

In Sumter County, their favorite Christmas song, which is near and dear for many, is “All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth.”  Too bad Santa Clause isn’t a dentist; He could deliver a lot of presents.

Sumter County has a new economic plan that’s creating thousands of jobs and hundreds of new businesses. It is called the Horizon 2030 Lake County Comprehensive Plan, which is the brain child of Lake County Commissioners Renick and Stewart. The folks in Wildwood say, “Thanks!”

If you refer to one of your relatives as “Uncle Dad”, then you probably have roots in Sumter County.
