The Sour Orange

The Musings of a Rotting Central Florida Fruit

Tuesday, December 7

December 7th, 1941, is the day America was attacked by Japan at Pearl Harbor, and President Roosevelt called it a day which will live in infamy.  It seem like infamy is adding more dates each year.  Never forget those who died for our freedom at Pearl Harbor.

The old Sour Orange has decided on a career change from humorist to male stripper. Either way, I’ll still make people laugh.

The big Florida versus South Carolina football game is today, and Spurrier smells blood. Too bad for him, the only blood he’ll actually see or smell is that of the South Carolina Gamecock. Gators just love Carolina Yard Bird – tastes like chicken.

Today is Veteran’s Day. Please honor our brave men and women who have served our country. America’s guardians of freedom know full well what the cost of freedom is, and all they ask for is a “Thank you” from a grateful nation.

There was a U.S. Border Patrol Agent’s car on I-75 at the Sumter County line. I guess that protecting the Florida border at the Sumter County line is more important than protecting the Mexican border at the Arizona line. Keeping those rednecks in Sumter County is a top priority for the Obama administration.

Obama and the Mexican President, Calderon, actually criticized Arizona for enforcing immigration laws, but neither one has the backbone to stand up to criminals and terrorists.  In Mexico, drug cartels run the country; in America, terrorists are giving Miranda Warnings; neither one “comprende” the real issues.

Commissioner Renick says she wants to protect land in South Lake County.  I have a way for her to do that without implementing this bogus Rural Protection Area.  Go out and buy it and make landowners an offer they can’t refuse.  Oh, I forgot – no-growth zealots only seek to spend, waste, and control other people’s money and property.
